A standard tour takes about 7 to 10 days to cover Jaipur, Jodhpur and either Jaisalmer or Udaipur. Shorter 5 day trips work if you stay in the east of the state, and 14 days or more lets you add Bikaner, Ranthambore and the Shekhawati towns without rushing.
2. What is the best time to plan a Rajasthan trip?
October through March. November to February is peak season, with daytime highs around 72°F to 80°F (22°C to 27°C) and desert nights that can drop to 45°F (7°C), so pack a jacket. April through June is severe, often above 104°F (40°C) and higher in Jaisalmer.

Q8. Can I add a desert safari and overnight camping in Jaisalmer?
Yes, and it is the most requested add-on. A camel safari into the Sam or Khuri dunes with an overnight stay in a desert camp needs one extra night in Jaisalmer. Sunset on the dunes followed by folk music and dinner under the stars is the part most travelers remember.
Q9. Can I combine Rajasthan with the Taj Mahal and the Golden Triangle?
Yes, and most of our longer routes already do. Agra sits between Delhi and Jaipur, so the Taj Mahal fits naturally at the start of a Rajasthan itinerary. Keep in mind the Taj Mahal is closed every Friday.
