Tour Program

Day 1

Cochin to Kumarakom (50 km)

Upon arrival at Cochin Airport, meet your driver and transfer to the city for a brief sightseeing tour. Visit the Navy Museum, St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing Nets, Santa Cruz Basilica, Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace), Jewish Synagogue, Marine Drive, Marine Walkway, and Tripunithura Hill Palace.

After sightseeing, drive to Kumarakom, a serene backwater destination on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Check into your hotel and relax.
Overnight stay in Kumarakom.

Day 2

Kumarakom Sightseeing

After breakfast, explore the peaceful beauty of Kumarakom. Visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, home to a variety of migratory birds, and enjoy the scenic charm of Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls. Spend time at Vembanad Lake, relax at Kumarakom Beach, and visit the unique Bay Island Driftwood Museum.

Day 3

Kumarakom to Alleppey Houseboat (15 km)

After breakfast, drive to Alleppey and board your traditional houseboat around 10:00 AM.

Begin your cruise through the scenic Punnamada Lake, famous for the annual Nehru Trophy Boat Race. The boat enters narrow canals such as SNDP Thodu, offering close-up views of village life. You may step ashore to walk through villages and experience the local lifestyle.

Lunch will be served onboard. After lunch, cruise towards Munnattumugam, where three canals meet, creating a picturesque landscape. Continue through Kainakari village, surrounded by lush paddy fields, and view Chavara Church (optional visit). The cruise proceeds through smaller canals like Irumbanam Thodu and the scenic C Block Canal.

In the evening, the houseboat anchors for the night. Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner onboard.

Day 4

Alleppey to Cochin (60 km)

After breakfast on the houseboat, disembark and drive back to Cochin. You will be transferred to Cochin Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

Tour concludes with relaxing memories of Kerala’s tranquil backwaters and coastal heritage.
